Kurt Graf (writer)

Kurt Graf (born May 23, 1883 in Regensburg ; † January 18, 1954 there ) was a German writer .

Life

Kurt Graf took part in the First World War as an officer . He then lived as a writer and lecturer in Munich . He published widespread collections of humorous texts in the 1920s . His work "Das fidele Kurt-Graf-Buch" had a circulation of over 140,000 copies by 1941 . Most of Graf's works were on the “ list of literature to be sorted out ” in the Soviet zone of occupation after 1945 .
