Kurt Grimm (director)

Kurt Grimm (born January 6, 1931 in Munich ; † November 6, 2004 there ) was a German film and television director.

Life

The trained businessman Kurt Grimm began his career in Hamburg with advertising and documentary films. At times he worked as an assistant to the producer Fritz Boehner , and later mainly on economic and socio-political issues at NDR . In 1962 Grimm received the German Film Prize .

From the first broadcast in October 1967 until his retirement in November 1998, Grimm worked for ZDF for the series Aktenzeichen XY ... unsolved by Eduard Zimmermann , which is about solving crimes with the help of television viewers. He directed over 300 editions in the studio, as well as many hundreds of the film cases broadcast there, in whose scripts he was often significantly involved. In some of these films, Grimm also took on smaller roles himself.
