Kurt Howaldt

Kurt Howaldt (born November 5, 1877 in Kiel ; † March 28, 1943 ) was a German engineer and manager of the electricity industry .

Life

Kurt Howaldt comes from the Howaldt entrepreneurial family in Kiel , his father was Bernhard Howaldt . After graduating from high school in Kiel, he studied at the Technical University of Karlsruhe and the Technical University of Dresden . In Karlsruhe, like his father, he became a member of the Corps Bavaria . He later became a director and board member of the Körtings Elektrizitätswerke in Berlin .

In the First World War he took part as a captain and column commander and was awarded the Iron Cross, 2nd class.

The Kiel entrepreneur and shipowner Bernhard Howaldt junior was his brother. He was married to Cecilie geb. Rose treads. Kurt Howaldt was buried in the cemetery in Berlin-Dahlem .
