Kurt Marohn (* 1902 in Bromberg ; † 1980 ) was a German architect . He was a board member of the Association of German Architects and from 1958 to 1964 he worked as a lecturer at the Stuttgart State Building School .

Live and act

Kurt Marohn completed his studies at the Technical University of Stuttgart with Heinz Wetzel and Hugo Keuerleber . After completing his studies, he worked as a freelance architect and founded an architecture office in Stuttgart in 1932 . In 1947, Marohn took part in the ideas competition for the reconstruction of the old town of Heilbronn , which was completely destroyed in the air raid on December 4, 1944 , involving city planners Hans Volkart and Hans Gerber . He continued to work in Heilbronn in the period that followed. In 1953 he established the Heermann car dealership at Wilhelmstrasse 26. In 1955 he built new buildings in Heilbronn for Kleinlogel on Gerberstraße, Herrmann on Lerchenstraße, Krumscheid on Marktplatz and Noller on Kirchbrunnenstraße. From June 1952 to March 1954 he built the Insel-Hotel and in 1958 the Heilbronner Harmonie . In addition, he was in charge of planning the school district in Hechingen, which was completed in 1958 . According to his plans, the Kilianspassage in Heilbronn was built in 1971 .
