Kurt Neuner

Kurt Neuner (born June 26, 1925 in Marchegg ; † September 26, 2015 in Klosterneuburg ) was an Austrian politician of the ÖVP .

biography

After attending primary school in Marchegg from 1931 to 1935 and then secondary school in Vienna from 1935 to 1943, he was initially in military service for two years. After the end of the Second World War , he only studied law at the University of Vienna from 1945 to 1948 . After completing his studies, he was an officer in the higher financial service from 1948 to 1955. During this time he completed a postgraduate course in political science at the University of Vienna between 1949 and 1951 . His doctorate also fell during this time . After leaving the higher financial service, he became a tax advisor in 1955 and, from 1957, an auditor .

Neuner's political career began on December 14, 1962, when he was elected for the first time as a member of the National Council as a candidate for the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) . Between April 1966 and June 1970 he was a member of the Federal Council . From March 1970 to November 1975 he was again a member of the National Council during the twelfth and thirteenth legislative periods .

During this time he was deputy chairman of the Vienna regional group of the Austrian Economic Association (ÖWB) from 1969 to 1988 . From June 1970 to November 1971 he was also federal chairman of the Association of Public Accountants (VWT). In 1976 he was awarded the title of professor . His last position was in 1984 as financial advisor to the ÖWB and thus also had an influence on the allocation of positions within societies of the People's Party.

Kurt Neuner was buried in the Weidlinger Friedhof in Klosterneuburg.
