Kurt Rahmig

Kurt Rahmig (* 6. May 1938 in Bitterfeld , † 22. June 2020 ) was a German politician of the SPD and the second term in 1994 up to the state election in 2002 a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt .

Life and work

After finishing school, Rahmig did an apprenticeship as a precision mechanic at ORWO from 1952 to 1955 . In 1959 he received a degree as an engineer for machine tool construction in Karl-Marx-Stadt . He then worked as a technologist at the Leipzig printing press plant until 1963 . After completing his military service (1963 to 1965) he worked as a designer until 1977 and later as a department head for equipment design and production in the chemical and power plant construction department in Bitterfeld. From 1977 to 1982 he was employed as a research assistant for research and development in the assembly plant in Leipzig, before he then worked as a department head in the chemical plant construction combine Leipzig / Grimma (Bitterfeld branch ) until 1991 . Until his election to the state parliament, he was a department head in the Wolfen public utility company . After leaving the state parliament, Kurt Rahmig became managing director of the technology interest group Bitterfeld-Wolfen eV Rahmig was married and had one child.

Political party

In June 1990, Rahmig joined the SPD. For many years he was chairman of the Wolfen SPD local association.

MP

Rahmig was a member of the city council from 1990 to 2004 (from 1994 city council) of Wolfen. He represented the Wolfen constituency in the state parliament and did not run again in 2002. Rahmig was a member of the Committee on Economics and Technology.
