Kurt Reis

Kurt Reis (pseudonyms: Conte Costello , Stephan Karolyi , Mario Markus , Axel von Orlowski , Kurt Ritter , born November 7, 1928 in Düsseldorf ) is a German writer .

Life

Kurt Reis received his doctorate in 1958 at the University of Cologne with a work about Gottfried Keller for Doctor of Philosophy . In the 1950s he worked as a journalist and wrote historical novels , books for young people , radio plays , short stories and detective novels ( Jerry Cotton ) under several pseudonyms ; later he also translated from English . From the late 1960s until his retirement he worked as a high school teacher for German and English at a technical high school in Freiburg im Breisgau.
