Kurt Stöber

Kurt Stöber (born August 29, 1928 in Rothenburg ob der Tauber ; † April 1, 2016 ) was a German Rechtspfleger and legal specialist author. For many years he was co-author of well-known legal standard commentaries on association law , the foreclosure auction law , foreclosure law and land register law .

Life

Kurt Stöber was born on August 29, 1928 in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Franconia. In 1947 he began training as a senior judicial officer in the Bavarian judicial service, which he completed in 1949 with the senior judicial officer examination. Stöber then worked from 1950 to 1971 as a senior judicial officer at various Bavarian local courts, from 1955 mainly working at the Nuremberg Local Court . In 1971 Stöber moved to Munich, where he worked as manager of the Munich I district court until 1975 . He then followed a call from the Bavarian Civil Service College for the legal department in Starnberg , where he worked as a lecturer until 1990. Stöber made a name for himself as an expert in Rechtspfleger law during his active time as a Rechtspfleger and accordingly became a member of the Reform Commission of the Federation of German Rechtspfleger in 1961 , which developed proposals for the Rechtspfleger Act passed in 1970. In addition, from 1968 on, Stöber succeeded Paul Wedewer as the editor of the magazine Der Deutsche Rechtspfleger , which he held until 1980. Until 2000 he continued to function as co-editor of this traditional journal. Since 1995 Stöber lived again in his hometown Rothenburg ob der Tauber.

Scientific work

Stöber, who never had an academic education, worked as a specialist legal author for over 50 years. Some of his standard comments have long since become similar own brands to the Palandt . From 1984 Stöber contributed to another heavyweight in commentary literature, the ZPO commentary by Richard Zöller . Within the team of authors, he initially looked after the area of ​​foreclosure, and from 1993 also the right of service. In addition, Stöber published two well-known legal practice manuals of the CH Beck publishing house for decades . With Hartmut Schöner he published the manual on land register law founded by Karl Haegele , which is currently in its 15th edition, with Hartmut Schöner , and with Helmut Keidel he published the manual on registration law , which he co-wrote from the 3rd to the 6th edition supervised.
