Kurt Steinkrauss

Kurt Steinkrauss (born August 23, 1915 in Berlin-Tempelhof , Germany ; † October 3, 2013 in Berlin-Neukölln ) was a German dialect poet .

Life

After successfully completing secondary school, he trained as a dental technician. In 1932 he met Hans Albers in Berlin , who encouraged him to attend drama school. From 1933 onwards, Lucie Höflich's first poems were read on the radio. Later he founded the amateur actor group Tempelhof. Between 1945 and 1955 he carried out various activities in the theater (head of the cabaret "Eulenspiegel") as a director, actor or copywriter. From 1980 he was a member of the International Dialect Institute Innsbruck .

It became popular through Harald Juhnke's RIAS broadcast , which was regularly introduced with a poem by the author.
