He is professor for the mathematical and theoretical foundations of computer science at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences . He deals with problems from discrete mathematics (including assignment problems).

Witt studied mathematics and computer science at RWTH Aachen University , where he later also received his doctorate. He worked at the Jülich Research Center , the University of Hildesheim , the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and from 1991 at the Rhineland-Palatinate University of Applied Sciences . Since September 1998 he has been teaching and researching at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences.
