Kurt von Rozynski (born June 1, 1864 in Schippenbeil in East Prussia , † November 12, 1940 ) was a German genre painter and illustrator .

Life

Rozynski studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Königsberg. He lived in Berlin from at least 1895 to 1937 . Rozynski painted genre pictures and depictions of musicians and illustrated works by Christian Wagner and Karl Walleiser , among others . He also worked as an illustrator for the daughters album and for Herzblätchen's pastime . His depictions of musicians such as Richard Wagner and Ludwig van Beethoven were also distributed in print. One of Rozynski's pictures for the Moonlight Sonata is in the Beethoven House in Bonn .
