The Kushtaka Glacier is a tongue of the Martin River Glacier in the southeast of the Chugach Mountains in south-central Alaska .
geography
The Kushtaka Glacier branches off to the south from the main glacier of the Martin River Glacier at an altitude of about 350 m . It is approximately 6.1 km long and 1.8 km wide. It ends at about 50 m height 1.7 km north of Kushtaka Lake . The meltwater from the Kushtaka Glacier flows into Kushtaka Lake. Its outflow, Stillwater Creek , flows into the Bering River , a tributary of the Gulf of Alaska .
The glacier tongue is in retreat.
