Kurt "Kutte" Klein (born August 29, 1942 ) is a former German rally driver and motorsport organizer who also works as a television and radio presenter, actor and singer. He is considered a Berlin original and motorsport legend. Frank Zander , with whom he is a close friend, dedicated the song Here comes Kurt to him .

Career

Kurt Klein used to be a car salesman for Heidi Hetzer , for whom he planned her two years and seven and a half months circumnavigation of the world in 2016/17 and presented her with the trophy when she subsequently arrived in Berlin. It was through them that he came to motorsport. Even a rally driver and multiple Monte Carlo participant until the late 1990s , he organized numerous races at the Berlin AVUS .

Klein is the father of one child. In 2014, the Berlin Senate awarded him the medal “For special services to the promotion of sport” for his services to Berlin motorsport .
