Kwaku Asomah-Cheremeh

Kwaku Asomah-Cheremeh (born August 26, 1964 in Berekum ) is a Ghanaian politician ( NPP ) and lawyer .

Career

Asomah-Cheremeh comes from Jinijini in the Berekum West District in the Bono Region . After attending school in Kenyasi (1971 to 1976) and Sunyani (1977 to 1986), he graduated from Accra Worker's College in 1989 with the Advanced Level . In 1994 Asomah-Cheremeh completed his three-year course at the University of Ghana with a Bachelor of Arts in law and political science , and in his last year the Ghanaian was employed at the university as chairman of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS). He received his further legal training at the Ghana School of Law , from 1998 to 2004 he worked as a lawyer at Akyede Legal Service in Sunyani and was also a lecturer at Sunyani Polytechnic . Since then, Asomah-Cheremeh has been employed as a solicitor at various Sunyanis law firms and has been running his own law firm Henewaa Chambers there since 2014 .

In January 2010, Asomah-Cheremeh prevailed in the election for chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Brong-Ahafo region against Kwadwo Yeboah Fordjour with 216-173 votes. In this role, he also led the NPP election campaigns for the parliamentary and presidential elections in 2012 and 2016 at the regional level . Officiated as of February 17, 2017 Asomah-Cheremeh in Cabinet Akufo-Addo as Regional Minister of Brong-Ahafo Region, with the reshuffle of August 9, 2018 was the Ghanaian Minister of lands and natural resources called (Minister of Lands and Natural Resources) .

Asomah-Cheremeh is married and has three children. His brother Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh is also a politician and has been a member of the national parliament since 2009 .
