Kwame Bawuah-Edusei

Kwame Bawuah-Edusei (* 10. June 1955 in Kumasi ) is a Ghanaian medical entrepreneur and diplomat in retirement .

Career

In 1979, Kwame Bawuah-Edusei earned a Bachelor of Science degree in human biology from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology , where he completed his medical degree in 1983. From 1983 to 2003 he worked in various clinical areas, mainly in the USA, including as a contract doctor with the United States Army at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital ( Virginia ). He was a director of EDUCE Incorporated , an agricultural and medical company in Ghana, and a partner in Edusei-Owusu Group Limited , an oil exploration and energy company.

Kwame Bawuah-Edusei operational lobbying for democratic development in Ghana at the Congress of the United States , the United States Department of State and the World Bank . He called for free medical care for disadvantaged communities, especially in the northern region of Ghana. From September 9, 2004 to September 12, 2006 he was Ghana's ambassador in Bern and at the same time accredited to Vienna . On September 5, 2006, he was appointed Ambassador of Ghana to Washington, DC , where he was accredited from September 12, 2006 to February 24, 2010.
