Kyle Baker (born 1965 in Queens , New York City ) is an American cartoonist .

biography

Baker began his career in the 1980s working for various comic labels, including Marvel's Spider-Man and New Mutants . He also drew adventure trips for Disney , a comic book adaptation of Alice Behind the Looking Glass and the Dick Tracy film. Baker's drawings have appeared in magazines such as The New York Times , Esquire , Rolling Stone and New York Magazine and also works as an animator .

Awards

Baker won two Eisner Awards in 2000 for Letitia Lerner, Superman's babysitter . He won a total of eight Eisner Awards, four of them in the “Best Writer / Artist: Humor” category, as well as five Harvey Awards and several Glyph Comics Awards : In 2006 he won three awards for Nat Turner (Best Cover, Best Artist and Story of the Year ); 2007 one for The Bakers .
