L + R records

L + R Records is a German record label .

The recording company was founded in 1979 by the concert and tour organizers Horst Lippmann and Fritz Rau . The two had previously operated the relatively short-lived Scout Records label in the late 1960s . L + R Records has been operated as a brand by Bellaphon Records since 1986 .

Important blues recordings were made on the L + R label , including recordings of the well-known American Folk Blues Festival tours 1962 to 1985, recordings with Louisiana Red , but also the 14-part LP series Living Country Blues USA , the Axel Küstner produced together with Ziggy Christmann in 1980. In the field of jazz , albums by Attila Zoller , Hans Koller , Roland Hanna , Heinz Sauer / Bob Degen , Art Farmer , Fritz Hartschuh , Wolfgang Güttler / Mike Dietz / Henrik Walsdorff , Archie Shepp / Chet Baker or Emil Mangelsdorff were produced as well as re-editions of classical records by Jutta Hipp and Albert Mangelsdorff ( Now Jazz Ramwong , Tension ).
