Léon Marie Joseph Delaissé

Léon Marie Joseph Delaissé (born September 7, 1914 in Herseaux , † January 4, 1972 in Oxford ) was a Belgian art historian who specialized in illuminated manuscripts .

Life

He studied Romance studies at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven . From 1947 to 1964 he was librarian in the manuscript department of the Koninklijke Bibliotheek van België . He was then a research fellow at All Souls College .
