Pol Anoul (born August 19, 1922 in Liège as Léopold René Jean Victor Anoul , † February 11, 1990 ) was a Belgian football player . The striker was professionally active with clubs from his hometown of Liège.

Life

Born in 1922 striker Anoul played for RFC Tilleur-Saint-Nicolas , RFC Liège and Standard Liège during his career . With the former he won the Belgian championship twice .

From 1947 to 1954 he played 48 international matches for the Belgian national team and scored 20 goals. He took part in the 1954 World Cup in Switzerland , where he scored three goals in two appearances.

He died in 1990 at the age of 67. His brother Jean Anoul , born in 1927, was also active as a football player, played among other things from 1941 to 1944 in the youth of the RFC Tilleur-Saint-Nicolas and was active as an adult at RFC Liège and SRU Verviers . He died two days before his 80th birthday on September 15, 2007.
