Lívia Járóka
Lívia Járóka (also Liviya Yaroka) (born October 6, 1974 in Tata ) is a Hungarian politician and member of the European Parliament for Fidesz - Hungarian Citizens' Union as part of the European People's Party . As a member of the Roma people , she campaigns for the rights of this people. She is the second Roma member after the Spaniard Juan de Dios Ramírez-Heredia (who was active from 1994 to 1999) in the European Parliament . Viktória Mohácsi , also Hungarian, later followed into the European Parliament. Above all, she campaigns for the situation of the Roma in Hungary . Járóka grew up in the western Hungarian city of Sopron . The Bulgarian parliamentarian Dimitar Kinow Stojanow from the ultra-nationalist Ataka party made racist and sexist remarks to Járóka, which caused a sensation in parliament . After 2004, Járóka was re-elected to the EP for Fidesz in 2009.
