Lückenbach is a district of Dümpelfeld in the Ahrweiler district in Rhineland-Palatinate .

Geographical location

Lückenbach is located in the valley of the Lückenbach , west of Niederadenau between the villages of Dümpelfeld and Insul (north) and Reifferscheid (southwest).

history

On October 1, 1976, the previously independent community of Lückenbach with 80 inhabitants at that time was incorporated into Dümpelfeld.

Lückenbach is one of two districts in the municipality of Dümpelfeld. He is represented by a local mayor , while the formation of a local advisory board has been dispensed with.

Georg Larscheid is the mayor of Lückenbach. In the direct election on May 26, 2019, he was confirmed in his office for another five years with a share of 90.24% of the votes.

Buildings

The Catholic branch church of St. Agatha and Lutger on Sonnenbergstrasse, built in 1758, is a protected cultural monument .
