The Lünenberg is 118.3 m above sea level. NHN high mountain in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in the northeast of the district of Northwest Mecklenburg . It is the highest point in the district.
The unwooded hill is located in the southern municipality of Passee about 20 kilometers east of the Baltic Sea coast with the Wismar Bay . It is part of a terminal moraine area that extends from the Baltic Sea coast near Kühlungsborn to the upper Warnow area. The mountain is located on the grounds of the Tüzen pet park .
The name of the mountain is probably derived from Glain (Slavic: glina) for "clay" and means clay mountain .
