Līga Glāzere

Līga Glāzere (born December 20, 1986 in Vecpiebalga , Cēsis district ) is a Latvian biathlete .

The student Līga Glāzere lives and trains in Vecpiebalga. She has been a member of the Latvian national team since 2006. In 2005 she competed in Kontiolahti , 2006 in Presque Isle and 2007 in Martell at Junior World Championships. Her best result in 2006 was 20th place in the individual. She ran her first European Junior Championships in 2006 in Langdorf, the second time in Bansko the following year . In Bansko she was 19th in the individual and 20th in the sprint and pursuit. Her first participation in world championships was in Antholz in the same year . Her best result was 79th place in the sprint.

After several appearances in the European Biathlon Cup , Glāzere starts in Östersund in 2006 for the first time in the Biathlon World Cup (91st in the sprint). The best result in an individual race so far was a 57th place in the sprint of Khanty-Mansiysk in the 2006/07 season . She achieved better results with the relay, including a tenth place in Oberhof 2007/08 . Līga Glāzere took part in the 2010 Winter Olympics. Her best result was 69th place in the sprint. With the relay she finished 19th.
