In qualifying for the Tschammerpokal in 1942 at the Reich level, the club made it to the second round, but lost 6-0 at home against eventual cup winners TSV 1860 Munich . At the end of March 1943, LSV lost 4-1 to FC Bayern Munich in a championship game of Gauliga Südbayern in the 1942/43 season . In the preliminary round of the qualifying tournament for the Tschammerpokal 1943 (either on April 11 or 18), the team beat SpVgg Seidling 4: 3. This season the team made it to the quarter-finals of the so-called Gaupokal Oberbayern / Sportgau Munich , but was eliminated there against 1860 Munich with 2:10.

In the league, the LSV played in the 1942/43 season in the Gaume Championship Munich-Upper Bavaria Season 2 and finished fourth of six places after five games. On Tuesday, August 4, 1942, Kaindl ran a new German record over 2000 m for the LSV at the 6th Hans-Braun-Sportfest in the Dante Stadium in Munich with a time of 5: 23.4 . In a forest run organized by the LSV in mid-November 1942 over 7.4 km, Kaindl won with 22 minutes and 50 seconds, his opponent Eberlein took 23 minutes and four seconds.
