Ludwig Kaindl

Ludwig Kaindl (born December 13, 1914 in Ergoldsbach , Lower Bavaria, † July 5, 1995 ) was a German athlete who won the silver medal in the 3,000-meter obstacle course in 9: 19.2 minutes at the European Athletics Championships in 1938 . In 1939 he set a German record with 9: 06.8 minutes. He set another German record in 1939 over 1500 meters with 3: 50.2 minutes. This record lasted until 1951.

Ludwig Kaindl was German champion in the 1500 meter run in 1940, 1941, 1942, 1946 and 1947. In 1938, 1939 and 1949 he was German champion over 3000 meters obstacle. 1939 world annual performance over 3000 m obstacle. 1941 u. 42 German record over 2000 m. 1941 world record in the 4x800 m relay. 1938 to 41, 15 international matches for Germany.

Ludwig Kaindl was a member of the Jahn Munich gymnastics club. From 1946 to 1952 the TSV 1860 Munich. During his competition time he was 1.75 m tall and weighed 68 kg.

For his many years of sporting success, he was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf on January 25, 1951 .
