La Barra is a town in Uruguay .
geography
It is located in the Maldonado department in sector 6 . La Barra is located south of El Tesoro on the Atlantic coast at the mouth of the Arroyo Maldonado . Beyond the estuary is San Rafael - El Placer to the west , while Laguna Blanca is adjacent to the east and El Chorro is about one kilometer away .
Infrastructure
The landmark of La Barra is the curved bridge over the Arroyo Maldonado. La Barra is on Ruta 10 . The place is also connected to the Maldonado - Faro José Ignacio bus connection (CODESA - Línea 14) and is served several times a day by local public transport.
