François de La Boullaye Le Gouz (* 1610 in Baugé , Anjou , † 1668 or 1669 in Isfahan ) was a French aristocrat and world traveler.

François de La Boullaye Le Gouz wrote and published the French-language travel description Les voyages et observations du sieur de La Boullaye Le Gouz , in which he describes his travels in India , Persia , Greece , Egypt , the Middle East and other parts of the world - including Denmark , Germany , the Netherlands , England , Ireland and Italy - represented. Les voyages et observations is considered to be one of the earliest examples of travel literature that provides practical information for actual travelers.
