La Nefera

La Nefera (born Jennifer Perez in the Dominican Republic on November 17, 1988 ) is a Swiss rapper .

Life

Jennifer Perez came to Switzerland when she was ten, where she grew up in the canton of Basel-Landschaft . In 2006 she began to write her own songs and founded the crew "Wortschatz los Dados" with rapper Steyr . In 2008 Wortschatz los Dados was the opening act for the Cuban hip-hop group Orishas in Zurich . In 2009 the group released their EP Nuestra Frecuenzia .

In 2013, La Nefera graduated from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences in Social Work . In the same year she took part in 1 City 1 Song . In February 2015 she released the album Skillz on Fire with the group "Vybezbilder" . In July 2016 her single Odio (in German "Hass") was released, and in October she released her first solo debut album A Lo Hecho Pecho (in German, for example: "You have to stand by your actions") with Arianna Puello as a guest. She was supported by RFV Basel - the pop promotion and music network of the Basel region . In the same year she was a guest on Collie Herbs album Bamboo . In January 2017 she was the second woman after Steff la Cheffe to take part in the rap event Bounce Cypher from Radio SRF Virus . In November 2018, La Nefera won the audience award of the Basel Pop Prize.
