The La Petite Décharge ( French for "The small drain") forms the southern and smaller drain of Lac Saint-Jean in the Canadian province of Québec .

There is a dam 8 km west of Alma at the outflow of Lac Saint-Jean. The river runs east for a distance of 15 km. It flows through the city of Alma and then meets the north-running branch of the Lac Saint-Jean La Grande Décharge , with which it joins the Rivière Saguenay . A second dam is on the western outskirts of Alma. The mean discharge is 120 m³ / s.
