The La Recouvrance is a zweimastiger topsail schooner in 1992 in Brest from the stack running. The final completion took place in 1993.

The La Recouvrance is a landmark of the city of Brest and was named after a district and the port of Brest.

It is a replica based on the plans of the Iris class, which was designed in 1817 by the French naval engineer Hubert. At that time five ships of this class were built, which served as courier ships for the French Navy in the early 19th century. They may also have been used to escort and protect merchant convoys to Africa and the West Indies .

The La Recouvrance is used for day trips with up to 25 passengers from Brest, for longer trips the number of passengers is limited to 12.
