La Riba is a Catalan municipality in the province of Tarragona in northeastern Spain . It is located in the comarca of Alt Camp .

Location and climate

La Riba is located at the confluence of the two rivers Bruigent and Francolí on a low mountain. It consists of La Riba with 710 residents and Les Hortasses with 22 residents.

Economy and Transport

There are currently two paper mills in La Riba, one from Essity and one from Goma Camps . Essity's factory is slated to close in 2018.
