Lac de Remoray is a lake located in the French Doubs department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region . The closest major city is Pontarlier . The lake is 850 m above sea level and covers an area of 95 hectares . The eponymous village Remoray-Boujeons is located to the west on the Jura slope. The village of Labergement-Sainte-Marie is located on the eastern bank of the Doubs in the valley floor.
The main tributaries are the La Drésine and Le Lhaut rivers . The outflow of the lake is called La Taverne and flows into the Doubs just under half a kilometer later.
The lake is surrounded by a swamp landscape. This was declared a nature reserve together with the lake on April 24, 1980. This nature reserve covers an area of 426.69 hectares.
