César Arzo Amposta (born January 26, 1986 in Villarreal ) is a Spanish football player .
Player career
Villarreal
César Arzo comes from the youth of FC Villarreal from his hometown. He made his league debut for the Eastern Spaniards on March 23, 2003 against Real Sociedad . At Villarreal, however, he never made the breakthrough due to the enormous competition from players like Juan Román Riquelme . In the two seasons 03/04 and 04/05 César Arzo was also used in the UEFA Cup , in the 05/06 season he reached the semi-finals of the Champions League with his team , in which he was used three times.
Loan player
For the 2006/07 season Arzo was loaned to the first division promoted Recreativo Huelva . There he was used in 24 games. The following year Arzo was awarded again - this time again to a newly promoted player - Real Murcia . At Murcia he finally made his breakthrough in professional business as a regular player, but he was relegated with the team.
Recent development
Since Villarreal still had no use for Arzo, he was given to his former loan club Recreativo Huelva . In the summer of 2009 he moved within the Primera División to Real Valladolid , where he had to go to the Segunda División at the end of the 2009/10 season .
In winter 2011 Arzo was transferred to the Belgian first division club KAA Gent , where he signed a contract until July 2014.
In the winter transfer period of the 2013/14 season, Arzo moved to Real Saragossa , where he stayed until the end of the season.
For the 2014/15 season, he moved to Beitar Jerusalem in Israel .
After only one year in Israel, Arzo joined the AEK Athens . He made his first game for the new club on November 22, 2015 in a 2-1 win against Panthrakikos .
