Ladislaus Eugen Petrovits (born January 25, 1839 in Vienna ; † April 1, 1907 there ) was an Austrian vedute painter and illustrator .

Born the son of the sculptor Demeter Petrovits (1799–1850), he was to continue his father's profession, but under the influence of the theater painter Carlo Brioschi he studied from 1857 to 1861 at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Franz Steinfeld the Younger and Albert Zimmermann .

Petrovits illustrated books, also provided illustrations for the Illustrierte Zeitung (Leipzig) and L'Illustration (Paris). From 1859 he took part in art exhibitions, especially with city views and landscape paintings.
