Lady Wood is the second studio album by the Swedish singer Tove Lo , which was released on October 28, 2016 under the Island Records label.

background

On August 17, 2016, Tove Lo announced the title of the album and the release of the album on October 28, 2016. Lady Wood is about a rollercoaster of emotions that she experienced herself after she released her first EP Truth Serum in 2014 and also released her debut album Queen of the Clouds in 2014. The album, which is the first of two of its kind, is split into two chapters. The first half of the album ( Fairy Dust ) deals with the euphoria of a pleasant encounter, the second half ( Fire Fade ) with self-confidence. The third half ( Light Beam ) as well as the fourth half ( Pitch Black ) are on their third studio album Blue Lips , which was released just over a year later. Tove Lo wrote every song on the album (except for the intros) and worked with rapper Wiz Khalifa ( Influence ) and singer Joe Janiak ( Vibes ).
