Vera Ludwig

Vera Ludwig (born May 5, 1978 in Detmold ) is a German poet .

life and work

Vera Julia Ludwig was born in Detmold, North Rhine-Westphalia , in 1978 . After graduating from high school in 1997 at Christian-Dietrich-Grabbe-Gymnasium , she studied special education for teaching at the University of Cologne, teaching German. In 2004 she began her legal clerkship at a special needs school in Gütersloh . From 2006 to 2008 she worked as a special school teacher, first in Beckum , and later again at her training school in Gütersloh.

In addition to her professional activity as a teacher , Ludwig developed her talent in the writing guild, preferably in poetry . Her first publication comes from the year 2000, where she was represented with poems in the poetry anthology "Junge Lyrik II" . From 1999 to 2002, Martin Werhand Verlag published three volumes of poetry, each containing 750 poems by 50 young, previously unpublished authors. Associated with this was a series of readings in which some of the authors, including Vera Ludwig, presented their works at the University of Cologne . More poems by Vera Ludwig can be found in 2002 in the poetry anthology Junge Lyrik III . In March 2016, her first own volume of poetry Sandtropfen was published in the 50 poems series by Martin Werhand Verlag . Her second poetry publication followed six months later in September 2016 under the title Horizont in the series 100 poems by the same publisher. In November 2016 she and her father Johann Georg Ludwig went public with the project Poetry and Painting in Dialogue . Vera Ludwig's poetry is characterized by a direct or metaphorical, psychologically motivated imagery of Erich Fried or Sarah Kirsch .

Vera Ludwig lives and works in Gütersloh.
