Lakapenos
Lakapenos (also Lekapenos ; Middle Greek Λακαπηνός ) is the name of a Byzantine family who competed for the throne in Constantinople with the Macedonian dynasty in the 10th century . The name is derived from the Cappadocian place Lakape (Laqabin) between Melitene and Samosata .
