The Lake Burgess is a branched lake on the Ingrid Christensen Coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth country . In the Larsemann Hills , it is about 1.3 km northeast of Blundell Peak .
The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named him in 1988 after the limnologist Jim Burgess from the University of New South Wales , who was active on Law Racoviță Station as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions in 1987 .
