The Lake Gillieson is a lake on the Ingrid Christensen Coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth country . In the Larsemann Hills , it is about 1.2 km northeast of Blundell Peak on the east side of the Stornes peninsula .
The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named him after the limnologist David Gillieson of the University of New South Wales , who worked on the Law Racoviță ward in 1987 .
