Lake Goodwin is a former census-designated place (CDP) in Snohomish County , Washington state . At the United States Census 2000 Lake Goodwin had a population of 3,354. With the United States Census 2010 there was no more statistical recording. Based on per capita income , one of the more reliable metrics for wealth, Lake Goodwin ranked 58th out of 522 Washington areas rated.

According to the United States Census Bureau , the CDP covers a total of 13.6 km², of which 10.3 km² is land and the remainder (3.3 km² or 24.14%) is water.

Demographics

As of the 2000 census , Lake Goodwin had 3,354 residents, 1,236 households, and 940 families. The population density was 324.6 per km ². There were 1,472 housing units at an average density of 124.4 per km².

The population was 94.6% White , 0.48% African American , 1.34% Native American , 0.72% Asian , 0.09% Pacific Islander , 0.86% from other "races" and 1.91% from two or more "races" . Hispanics or Latinos of "any race" made up 2.44% of the population.

Of the 1236 households, 36.6% had children under the age of 18, 67.2% were run by married couples living together and 5.7% by single mothers; 23.9% were non-families. 17.6% of the households were singles and 4.4% were single people over 65 years of age. The average household size was 2.71 and the average family size was 3.1.

The median age in the city was 38 years. 27.3% of the population were under 18, 6.1% between 18 and 24, 32.1% between 25 and 44, 26.6% between 45 and 64 and 7.8 65 years or older. There were 106.1 men for every 100 women, and 106.1 men for every 100 women over the age of 18.
