The Lake Iule is a small lake in the Denton Hills of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . Along with Lake Oid, it is one of two small lakes between Penance Pass and Lake Buddha .
Scientists in a campaign carried out by Victoria University's Antarctic Expeditions from 1960 to 1961 named it based on the naming scheme of other geographical objects in the area. Obvious namesake is Iulus (synonymous Ascanius ), son of the Trojan prince Aeneas and first king of Alba Longa from Greek and Roman mythology.
