Lake Midori ( Japanese 緑 池 Midori-ike , German 'Green pond' ) is a small lake on the East Ongul Island off the Prince Harald coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It is located 500 m southeast of Hachinosu Peak and immediately northeast of Lake Kamome .
Surveys and aerial photographs of a Japanese Antarctic expedition carried out from 1957 to 1962 were used to map it. The name was given by Japanese scientists in 1963. The American Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names transferred this in 1968 in a partial translation into English.
