description
The lake forms a tourist destination. There are two major hotels on the lake: Cottonwood Cove and Lake Mohave Resort . Both resorts have accommodations, campsites, restaurants, shops, and various boat decks. Popular recreational activities at Lake Mohave include swimming, kayaking, fishing, boating, and water skiing. Due to the year-round opportunities for recreational activities, the lake attracts numerous visitors, including from other states. Its water, which is very clear on average in the US, is a major contributor to visitor numbers. The area is also home to thousands of desert plants and animals as rainfall is rare in the area .
Numerous diving courses are offered around the lake, for which the lake is particularly suitable. A ship that sank in 1946 is considered a special attraction for divers.
