The Lake Sibthorpe is a very shallow lake on the Ingrid Christensen Coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth country . In the Larsemann Hills it is located northwest of the Progress station and about 700 m southeast of the Law-Racoviță station .
The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it in 1988. It is named after Richard Sibthorpe, radio technician at Davis Station in 1986.
