Lake Spate is a lake on the Ingrid Christensen Coast of Princess Elisabeth Land, East Antarctica . In the Larsemann Hills it is 0.9 km north of Blundell Peak on the Stornes peninsula .
The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it 1988. It is named after the Australian Limnologist Andrew Spate of National Parks and Wildlife Service of the State of New South Wales , in 1987 as part of a campaign by the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions to fill on the Law station had heard .
