Laktionov Island is a 3 km long island inthe Biscoe Islands archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 6 km northeast of Jurva Point on the Renaud Island .

The island appears for the first time on an Argentine map from 1957. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1959 after Alexander Fyodorowitsch Laktionov (1899–1965), Soviet sea ​​ice researcher at the Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute in Leningrad and head of the Oceanography Department there, Ice forecasts and estuaries from 1927 until his death.
