Lallemantia iberica , Ölziest

Lallemantia oil or scorpionfish oil is a vegetable oil made from the seeds of the Iberian scorpionfish ( Lallemantia iberica ) or oil ziest.

Lallemantia oil is a drying oil with properties similar to linseed oil . It comes mainly from Eastern Europe and the Middle East , CIS and Iran and is used for the production of paints and linoleum as well as lubricants, but also as edible oil .

The oil can be cold pressed or extracted using a solvent. The press cake can be used as fodder.

There are also dragon head essential oils of various types e.g. B. Lallemantia iberica , Lallemantia royleana and the Turkish scorpionfish ( Dracocephalum moldavica ).
