The Lamboley peak is around 1000 m high and prominent mountain on the Orville Coast of Palmer Lands south of the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises in the north-western part of the Prehn Peninsula .
The first aerial photographs were taken during the American Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948). The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1961 to 1967. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after Paul Eugene Lamboley (* 1938), radio operator at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station in 1964.
