The Prehn Peninsula is an icy, some 30 km long and 16 km wide peninsula at the Orville Coast of the West Antarctic Ellsworthlands . It lies between Hansen Inlet in the south and Gardner Inlet to the north . The peninsula ends at Cape Schlossbach .
It was discovered during a flight during the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947-1948) led by the US polar explorer Finn Ronne . The United States Geological Survey mapped the peninsula using surveys and aerial photographs by the United States Navy between 1961 and 1967.
