The motor ship Lan Diep (after Vietnamese Lan và Điệp for Romeo and Juliet ) is a river cruise ship of the shipping company Compagnie Fluviale de Mekong (CFM) . It operates on the Tonle Sap and the Mekong in Cambodia and Vietnam , preferably for cruises on the route between Koh Chau and Saigon , via Kampong Chhnang , Phnom Penh , Châu Đốc , Cái Bè and Mỹ Tho . The ship is classified in the four-star category . The shipping company works with the travel company Phoenix Reisen GmbH Bonn .
Furnishing
The Lan Diep was built in the Bao Tin shipyard in Saigon, Vietnam. Construction began on December 17, 2006 and the maiden voyage took place on October 1, 2007. The ship is 50 meters long and 10 meters wide, has a size of 450 gross tons , a draft of 1.8 meters and a height above the waterline of 7 ,2 metres. It is of two Volvo - diesel engines powered type IPS750 9.4-liter straight-six cylinders and each 575 horsepower (423 kW). It also has two Volvo generators for power supply, each with 80 kW. The cruising speed is 26 km / h.
The cruise ship has 22 passenger cabins for a maximum occupancy of 44 people, of which 12 cabins on the main deck and 10 cabins on the upper deck. All double cabins have access from the aisle along the railing on both sides of the ship. They each consist of a bedroom and a wet room with sink, toilet and shower. The bedrooms are equipped with individually adjustable air conditioning. In addition to the double bed, under which there is a luggage rack, the cabins have a wardrobe including a safe and a desk.
The 90 m² on-board restaurant is located in the rear area of the upper deck. The sun deck has an area of 250 m² and is divided into two parts. A small staircase leads up to the rear area. Eight loungers are set up there under a sun canopy. Towards the bow, behind the sundeck bar, there is the closed saloon where information events and film screenings take place.
